About Hickey-Gore Family
Please sign in to see more.
I have been working on Genealogy about 45 years and as we all know, it is a work in progress. We are a great family which have been part of United States becoming a Country. To date we have approximately 10 progenitors who served in the "Revolutionary War" as well as the "War of 1812", the "Indian Wars" "Civil War", serving on both sides, and more up to the present. We have served our Country in all phrases of preserving freedom to ourselves and others. We have earned a place in history for all to know. Our family has helped America to grow, develop into a wonderful technical progressive country and can even be found in the political pages of the Executive Branch, as Albert Gore Sr and Albert Gore Jr., his son. We can claim "John Sevier" with his wife "Catherine Sherrill", who not only was in the Revolutionary War, but was Governor of several States. His wife was not idle in the War for Independence either.

There are many reasons why our ancestors left their homeland over the pond, but if like me, they came for not only freedoms to choose their own way, but they wanted to expand themselves in all areas of their lives, they wanted a challenge to live, reason to be on this planet.

Our ancestors are found in Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina, PA, and the Smith's from MASS. My kids and grandkids were born in Arizona, Washington State and Utah, which is where I live today. My cousins are in Indiana, Missouri, Illinois, Michigan, and have spread on out to many Western States. The more I research, the more I realize that we are "ONE", that we will come full circle, and understand that not only are we descendents of "Father Adam", but we are of Royal Birth, from our Heavenly Father. I think that makes us all special, don't ya think?

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
